Next fish fry at senior center is April 11

The next fish fry at the Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper will be 2-5 p.m. Friday, April 11. The menu includes hand breaded fried fish or chicken strips, coleslaw, pinto beans, hushpuppies and pickled green tomatoes. Additional fish is $2 a piece or 10 for $15.
Proceeds benefit the center.
Meals at the center are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. A $4 donation is appreciated from clients. No age limit and carry-outs cost $8.60 per meal. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.

Thursday - Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli and cauliflower, wheat roll and fruit parfait.
Friday - Pinto beans with ham, fried potatoes with onions, seasoned greens, cornbread and fruit medley.
Monday - French dip sandwich, baked potato chips, mixed vegetables and Mandarin oranges.
Tuesday - Tater Tot casserole, green peas, wheat roll and vanilla pudding.
Wednesday - Pot roast, mashed potatoes, carrots and celery, wheat roll and strawberry angel cake.
