NAC Board approves four new hires

The North Arkansas College Board of Directors held its monthly meeting Thursday, June 13, at the JPH Conference Center and approved the hiring of four new employees.
Teresa Paul was hired for the open English instructor position which came open withe the departure of Reggie Vargas, who resigned on March 15.
Paul obtained an Associate of Arts from North Arkansas College in 1999, a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016 and a Master of Arts and English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. She has been working for North Arkansas College as both an adjunct and a temporary full-time English instructor since 2018.
Hannah King was hired to fill the position of Academic Advisor/Disabilities Coordinator, replacing Taylor Whillock who resigned from the position on March 29 to accept a position with the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies from the University of Arkansas. Her major concentration is Mixed Educational Environments with minors in both Social Work and Substance Abuse Disorders.

Jennifer Scott was hired to fill the position of Educational Opportunity Center Academic Advisor, which will come open on July 1.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is presently a SNAP E&T Coordinator with North Arkansas College Adult Ed where she works with TRIO/EOC clients and other from a first-generation, low-income background.
Melissa Lamb was hired to fill an open position on the Practical Nurse faculty whih had been open for over a year.
Lamb received her technical certificate in practical nursing in December 2019 and her Associates of Applied Sciences in nursing through North Arkansas College in December of 2023. She has had her RN license since January.
