Spring planting is here and the Jasper Community Garden has a limited number of garden beds available for the 2021 growing season. If you would like a garden plot for the coming year, please stop by the Jasper City Hall and request a membership form and/or Garden Bed Request form. The forms should be completed and returned to City Hall. Or, you may request the forms by mail at P.O. Box 327, Jasper, Arkansas 72641
The community garden is a great place to meet other gardeners. The small plots are good for children to get involved in learning to grow their own produce. If a child grows the product, they may be more apt to eat fresh vegetables.
Jasper Community Garden members and guests will meet on Monday, April 5, in the Jasper United Methodist Church fellowship hall at 5:30 p.m. All Covid protocols and requirements will be followed at the meeting. Community involvement is encouraged for all county residents who do not have land available to them for gardening.
