Jimmie S. Brasel, 78, died at at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, Monday, Jan. 11 (2021). A private family service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Parthenon Baptist Church, with Pastor Bobby Young and Pastor Wade Edwards officiating. Everyone is invited to attend the burial following the service, at Union Hill Cemetery. In compliance with state COVID-19 mandates, everyone over age 10 is required to furnish and wear a mask and practice social distancing. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Coffman Funeral Home.

The daughter of the late Edna (Taylor) and Turnie Hughes, was born in Clinton, Feb. 1, 1942. She married Billy Wayne Brasel on July 25, 1959.  They have been married for 61 and a half years.  Jimmie was a homemaker and a long time member of the Parthenon Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Junior Daniels.

Jimmie is survived by her husband, Billy Wayne Brasel, of the home; their four children, Billie Sudigala, of Parthenon, Becky Daniels, of Parthenon, Libby Robinson, of Parthenon and Brandon Brasel, of Jasper; her brother, Wayne Hughes; her sisters, Ima Keeton, Janie James and Judy Fowler; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Brasel, Justin Lane, Chris Daniels, Andy Sudigala, Randall Robinson and Greg Cross.

Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie's nieces and nephews.
