Due to the ongoing drought conditions which have resulted in extreme wildland fire danger, Buffalo National River is now under a temporary fire ban; however, the use of camp stoves, lanterns, and free-standing gas grills may be used in developed campgrounds and picnic areas. Solid fuel, propane or liquid fueled camp stoves and lanterns may continue to be used in all locations throughout the park.
Effective immediately, lighting or maintaining a fire within the boundaries of Buffalo National River is prohibited.
No wood fueled fires in any developed campground, including charcoal grills.
No campfires in backcountry or wilderness areas, including primitive camping areas without developed campsites.
