Posted

JASPER — Early enrollment data compiled Aug. 19 by the Jasper School District showed a district-wide enrollment of 847 students, or 10 more students attending district schools than at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Candra Brasel said the largest increases were seen at Oark High School, +16, and Jasper High School, +14. Jasper Elementary had +1, Kingston Elementary had -5, Kingston High School had -8 and Oark Elementary had -8.
"These numbers may be fluid for a few weeks," Brasel said. "I just wanted to give you a preliminary enrollment report," she told the members of the Jasper School District Board of Education at the opening of its monthly meeting, Monday night, Aug. 19. "We're hoping to have growth this year for sure."
