The May fishing derby season ended May 24 with a contest sponsored by County Line Baptist Church. For four Saturdays in a row, the Compton Pond hosted the derbies made possible with fish stocking by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. Jayci Clayborn caught the derby's first fish earning her a triple trophy award having won in all three categories during the season.

Kenley Morgan caught the largest fish in the Countyline Baptist Church fishing derby. The fish weighed 4 1/2 pounds. He also caught a turtle during the event.
