Last week: The Hilltop Board has chosen Saturday, April 12, as the annual Cemetery Cleanup Day. There was a potluck lunch. Donations to the Hilltop Cemetery
Fund can be made by sending it to Hilltop Cemetery, c/o Shirley Kilburn, 8066 Orchard Point Road, Harrison.
We want to extend our sympathy to the family of Hoppy Hopkins, who passed away last week. His funeral and burial were Thursday. Our thoughts are with Judy and all the family at this sad time.
Thank you to those who sent Best Choice Labels to the Compton Fire Department. I received an envelope from Betty Wallis. We appreciate
your support. Also, thank you to Mattie Mae Lair for saving labels for the Fire Department. We want to wish Mattie a very happy birthday. She celebrated her 100th
birthday last March 29. She is a wonderful lady.
Johnny and Samantha McKinley preached and sang for us at New Hope Full Gospel Church last Sunday evening. We always enjoy getting to be in church with them. Lester and Heath Davidson attended, as well.
We ended up with a little over seven inches of rain last week. The little foxes behind our house survived the storms, as we have seen them playing this week. My little
hen quit her nest last week, so we won’t have any chicks hatched by her this spring. The other ten that I hatched in the incubator are doing well and I plan to turn them in with my other chickens this week.
