Classmate recalls Mt. Judea class of 1947

Mitchell Dodson recalls graduating from Mt. Judea in 1947 and the friends he made during his upbringing. He kept up with his group of classmates after graduation from the small school and shares his memories. 

The ten students in the graduating class of 1947 at Mt. Judea are as follows: 

—Robert Burdine became manager of the Farmer’s Co-op in Harrison. 

—James Duck had a career in construction.

—Elise June Edwards became a school teacher.

—Kenneth Hefley spent his years as a mechanic. 

—Thomas Hill worked as a meat cutter.

—Ephus Holt moved on to Wichita, Kansas to work for an airline.

—Darrell Greenhaw owned and operated his own insurance business.

—Johnnie C. Hamilton (not pictured) became a professor at Arkansas Tech University. 

—Joyce Greenhaw Hankins remained in Harrison. 

—Mitchell Dodson became postmaster at Bass and Mt. Judea. 

Class sponsors were Mrs. Clara Kent and Wilbert McCutcheon (both deceased). 

Three members of the class are still living in Harrison: Mitchell Dodson, Robert Burdine and Darrell Greenhaw are 92 years old.
