The Arkansas State Police Commission has approved the promotion of Corporal Roy Moomey to the rank of sergeant. The recommendation for promotion was presented by Colonel Bill Bryant, Director of the Arkansas State Police, during a regular monthly meeting of the commission at Little Rock last Thursday.
Sergeant Moomey, 46, of Crawford County, is an 11 year state police veteran and most recently has been assigned as a special agent of the Criminal Investigation Division, Company D.
The promotion will entail a transfer from CID to the Highway Patrol Division, Troop H, headquartered at Fort Smith. Sergeant Moomey will serve as a post supervisor.
