MINERAL SPRINGS — The 1A-1 District Track Meet was held on Friday. Then on Monday, the athletes that qualified for state ran in the Class 1A State Track Meet in Mineral Springs.
Several athletes placed in the event and Ozark Mountain finished tie for 10th place with 22.50 points.
The event was won by Northwest Ark. Classical Academy. They won the event with 60 points. Strong-Huttig was second with 58 points and Thaden School was third after earning 47.50 points.
Jasper finished 30th in the event with seven points and Kingston was 31st with five points.
Ozark Mountain
Six individual athletes placed in an event and one relay team earned points as Ozark Mountain finished tied for 10th place with Augusta.
Joey Stoeckle had the highest individual finish. He finished third in the 110 Meter Hurdles. He completed the race in 19.00
Walker Collins was a fifth place finisher in the Pole Vault. He jumped 7-06.00.
Aiden Fletcher finished fifth in the 800 Meter. He completed the race in 2:25.45.
Evan Omara finished in a tie for sixth place in the Pole Vault. He jumped 7-00.00.
In the High Jump, Zack Bolin finished seventh. He had a leap of 5-06.00.
Evann Dean had an eighth place leap in the Long Jump. He was recorded at 19-03.00.
The Bear relay team of Collins, Dean, Stoeckle and Bolin was sixth in the 4X200 Meter Relay. The team finished in 1:42.85.
Jasper
The Pirates placed in three events.
Nate Watts finished in the points in two events. He was fourth in the 3200 Meter Run. He ran the nearly two mile race in 11:58.83.
Watts also finished eighth in 1600 Meter. His time was 5:18.41.
The relay team of Nicholas Dextre, Tyler Tibbs, Levi Johnson and Joseph Lindsey finished eighth in the 4X800 Meter Relay. They completed the race in 10:35.97.
Kingston
Kingston had a fourth place finish in the 4X800 Meter Relay. The team consisted of Zac Root, Josh Cooper, Xander Stokes and Chsim Floyd with a time of 10:04.20.
