President Stacey Potter presided over the July 8 Friends of the Library meeting with seven members present.

Librarian Kenya Windel stated that book circulation was up for June.

Starting Aug. 3, a writers group will meet on the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.

In one month 31 Take and Make craft kits have been checked out.

The FOL will apply for a DKG grant.

A Red Hot August Book Sale with a free ice cream treat will be held Aug. 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.

A big grocery sack of books will be $3 while a plastic bag will cost $1.

The library will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Nov. 20. Plans are being made to promote this milestone.
