Willis Howard Standridge, 88, of Ben Hur, died at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison on Wednesday, May 15 (2019). Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, May 17, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at Ben Hur Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Harrison Cemetery in Ben Hur.

He was born in Ben Hur, on Aug. 7, 1930. His parents were the late Joe Howard and Nancy (George) Standridge.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from May 1951 to April 1953.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Icia Johnson and Syble Garrison.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Oleta (Rackley) Standridge, of Ben Hur; his children, Phyllis Barnes, of Russellville, Shirley Drewry, of Witt Springs, Jimmy Standridge, of Hector, Judy Mallett, of Ben Hur, Teresa Walker, of Harrison and Ronald Standridge, of Hector; his brothers, Ralph, Taft, Loyd and Bobby Standridge; his sisters, Bonnie Sharp and Betty Day; 11 grandchildren; 8 stepgrandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Barnes, Aaron Drewry, Levon Standridge, Johnathan Drewry, Loyd Rackley and Daryl Rackley.

Honorary pallbearer is Casey Campbell.
