He was born in Houlka, Mississippi, the son of the late John Russell and Myrtle Mae (Collums) McCammon.
Bill was preceded in death by a sister; three brothers and a son.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Lee (Willett) McCammon, of the home; nine of their ten children, William McCammon, Vanessa McCammon, James McCammon, Deborah Pilgrim, Bobby McCammon, Kenneth Bagby, Sheila Bagby, Terry Bagby and Jimmy Bagby; his sister, Merle McCammon; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and other relatives.
