Violet Lawson, 76, of Jasper, died in Jasper on Tuesday, Aug. 4 (2020). Funeral was Saturday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m., at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Dennis Selvidge officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Cemetery at Murray.

The daughter of the late Floyd and Eileen Ramsey was born in Murray on Nov. 23, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roland Sr.; a son, Tony Roland; a brother, Bill and four sisters, Louise, Karen, Alice and Betty.
Violet is survived by three sons, Thomas Roland, of Parthenon; Tim Roland, of Harrison and Toby Roland, of Searcy; four brothers, James Compton, Bob Ramsey, Jiggs Compton and Arnold Ramsey; three sisters, Judy Willey, Janice Turley, and Carol Brazil; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Tommy Roland, Tim Roland, Trint Roland, Travis Roland and Dallas Roland.
