She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on Jan. 3, 1972. Her parents were the late Dale Downs and Louise Haney.
Sarah had lived in Omaha, Kodiak, Bellingham, Washington and Johnston, Iowa, and South Dakota.
She married David Groves in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; daughter Jordan and several grandparents.
She is survived by her stepfather, Terry Haney; siblings Nick and Jill; her aunt and uncle, Kathy Downs and Jim Westbrook, of Jasper.
