Roger Wayne Chisum, 70, of Scottsville, died at home on Sunday, June 2 (2019). Funeral was 1 p.m., Thursday, June 6, at Scottsville Word of Life Assembly followed by burial at Solo Cemetery. Pastor Arnold Humphrey and Pastor Jimmy Turner officiated the services. Arrangements were by Humphrey Funeral Home.

He was born near Hector on Feb. 20, 1949. His parents are the late George Washington and Dorothy Lavada (Freeman) Chisum.
Wayne married Ruby Joyce Turner, Nov. 6, 1965.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Chisum and brothers Paul, Carl, Harold and Bob Chisum.
Survivors include his children, Lawonna Race, of Dover, Roger Chisum, of North Carolina, Phyliss Hendrix, of Hector; Josh Chisum and Julie Rose, of Danville; brothers and sisters including Arlie Chisum, of Scottsville, Christene Humphrey, of Falling Water, Jack Chisum, of Falling Water, Irene Riddle, of Ben Hur, Ilene Collins, of Russellville, Darlene McNutt, of Scottsville, Butch Chisum, of Scottsvill; several grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers were Stanley Collins, Lloyd Duvall, Paul Ray Chisum, and Doug Chisum.
