Norma Unruh, 91, of Mt. Judea

Norma Dea (Turpin) Unruh, 91, of Mt. Judea, died Sunday, Aug. 30 (2020). Visitation will be at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Thursday, Sept. 3, from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. with family in attendance from 5-7 p.m. A graveside service for the family only will be at the McCutcheon Cemetery in Bass.

She was born in Scott City, Kansas, Aug. 2, 1929. Her parents are the late Chase Ervin and Emma Luvina (Norman) Turpin.

She traveled the country and parts of the world following her husband Eldrid Clay “EC” Unruh’s long Naval career. They retired in 1967 to Mt. Judea where they finished raising their children on their family farm.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ena, Edie, Chet, and Kenny, her husband EC, son David,and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include five children, Steve Unruh, of Mt. Judea; Sharon Pierce, of Mt. Judea; Debbie Cooper, of Harrison; Mark Unruh, of Salt Lake City, Utah and Brian Unruh, of Harrison and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are grandsons Corey Johnston, Jason Keenom, William Wilborn, Brad Lippe, Caleb Cooper, Ethan Cooper, Michael Unruh, and Dallen Unruh.

Memorials may be made to the McCutcheon Cemetery fund in care of Debbie Tennison, 11037 NC 5070, Mt. Judea, AR 72655.
