Garner Fraser Milam, 81, of Pruitt, died Saturday, March 2 (2019). Graveside service will be held in the Jasper Cemetery at noon on Wednesday, March 6.
Garner Fraser Milam of Pruitt, AR passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Greenbrier, AR. Garner was born on October 21, 1937 in Harrison, AR to J. and Nellie Henderson Milam.
Garner loved Newton County. He graduated from Jasper High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas and Ouachita Baptist University. Garner served many years as the editor and publisher of the Newton County Informer, a weekly newspaper. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
Garner is survived by his children: Ronny Milam and Carmalita of Harrison, AR; Karen Milam of Dallas, TX; Jon Milam and Pam of Conway, AR; and Raschel Gilson and Daniel of Conway, AR. He is also survived by three granddaughters: Meredith Ward of Boston, MA; Hannah Ward of Portland, OR; and Gillian Gilson of Conway, AR; and special dogs: Tater and Elvis of Conway.
The graveside service will be held in the Jasper Cemetery at noon on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
