Freddy Jackson Kilgore, age 75, of Jasper, Arkansas, finished his Earthly race on Monday, May 18, 2020 and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.

He was born on November 5, 1944, at Mt. Sherman, AArkansas, to Beecher and Jewell (Sanders) Kilgore.  Freddy was a life-long resident of Newton County.  He only left for 2 years when his Uncle Sam asked him to go to Korea.

Freddy loved being outside. He would use any excuse to go outside to mow or see what he could get into.  When he couldn't find anything to tinker with, he would sit outside in his chair to watch people and traffic.  Freddy also liked to sit at the Ozark Cafe at the Liar's table to see who could tell the biggest tale. Freddy served the people of Jasper as a City Counsel man for 28 years. He worked for Claridge for 43 years.

Freddy loved the Lord and attended Jasper First Assembly of God.  He raised his family in church and served as a bus driver, a song leader and a trustee. All three of his kids love Jesus because of the terrific example their father set for them.  They know their Dad is waiting in Heaven for them.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Fayette Kilgore and Ed Kilgore both of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Francis Henderson of Parthenon, Vestal Shuck of Wichita,Kansas and Hazel McElroy of Kansas City, Missouri and a baby brother that was still born.

Freddy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna (Daniels) Kilgore; his 3 children, Kristy, Patrick, and Shane Kilgore all of Jasper; 2 sisters Marilyn Turney and Betty Hunt both of Harrison; and his nephews, family and friends that will mourn his passing.

Cremation services are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at the Jasper First Assembly of God Church with Brother Steve Holt and Brother Troy Walker officiating.
