Carolyn Carlton, age 83, of Fallsville passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper.
The daughter of Etzel Mack and Alpha (Cowan) Mack was born March 10, 1937.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Carlton; and her brother Christopher (Bo) Mack and his wife Vickie Mack.
Carolyn was of Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, planting flowers, watching and feeding the birds, and spending time with her children, and grandchildren. Her priority in life was her family and she always found a way to provide them with what they needed even during the hard times.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Caldwell and husband Larry of Salus; Renee Gilmore and husband Dennis of Pelsor; Carmel Davis and husband Tommy of Deer; Kay Adams and husband Jeff of Lurton and Lawrence (Sonny) Carlton and wife Beverly of Deer.
Carolyn is also survived by her sister, Clesty Fouts of Dover; her brothers-in-law, Lowell, Frank and Benny; her grandchildren, Stacey Cowell, Brandy Hughes (Tony), Lorie Cantrell (Derek), Christel Young (Bobby), Justin Gilmore (Jamie), Darrell Davis (Tiffany), Wesley Davis, Darren Adams (Whitney) and Rance Carlton (Asia); 31 Great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
There will be a graveside service only at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Case Cemetery in Fallsville with Pastor Bob Young and Pastor Robert Boen officiating.
Pallbearers will be Justin Gilmore, Darrell Davis, Darren Adams, Wesley Davis, Rance Carlton, and Devin Greenhaw.
Honorary pallbearers are all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
