William Robert "Bill" Liggett, Sr., 83, of Marble Falls, died at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 13, from 6-8 p.m., at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home with Jerry Liggett officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery at Nail.

Bill was born in El Dorado, Kansas, on November 27, 1936. His parents are the late Thomas Judson Liggett and Mary Ellen (Towne) McCormick. He had been a resident of Newton County most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas “Tommy” Liggett, James “Jim” Liggett and Richard “Dick” Liggett.

Bill is survived by his sons, William Robert Liggett, Jr., of Mulberry, Franklin Scott Liggett, III, of Prairie Grove and Timothy Dale Liggett, of Marble Falls; his daughter, Melissa Ruth Liggett Smith, of Marble Falls; his brother, David "Dave" Liggett, of Newton County; a step-brother, Tony Collins, of Marble Falls; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Billy Liggett, Matthew Liggett, Paul Michael Watters, Eric Smith, Mark Smith and Bo Plunkett.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul "Boots" Gilmore, Stanley Gilmore, Nick Martin, Sean Liggett, Tony Kaler, Joseph Arrowood and Brian Rodgers.
