Betty Jo Brisco, 92, of Harrison, died at Harrison, Monday, Nov. 2 (2020). Graveside funeral service is 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at the White Church Cemetery, with Bill Melton officiating. Arrangements by Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, Harrison.
She was born and raised on a farm along the banks of the Buffalo River near Hasty on Jan. 18, 1928. Betty was a member of Union Baptist Church. After World War II, she was teaching school at the Basin School, west of Marble Falls, where she met Arlan Brisco. They were married and had two sons. She volunteered at the hospital for many years after retiring.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Carson and Mary (Edgar) Baughman; her husband, Arlan Brisco; her brother, Kenneth Baughman and her sister, Freida Garrett.
Betty is survived by her sons, Arvin Brisco, of Harrison and Joe Brisco of Hugo, Oklahoma; her brother, Clayton Baughman; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers
