Robert Roberson, a U.S. Navy veteran, drove his restored red-and-white 1972 Ford pickup truck in the American Legion Centennial Parade held Saturday, June 22, in downtown Little Rock.

Roberson said he has owned the 1972 Ford Ranger XLT pickup truck for 25 years, a classic vehicle that he said was the top-of-the-line pickup truck 40 years ago. Joining Robert in the bed of the truck is fellow veteran Fred Gardner, a U.S. Air Force veteran, Vietnam era.

Gardner is the Quartermaster for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10417, Lead Hill. Robert and Fred have been friends for 20 years and worked together at Mass Merchandisers in Harrison (now McKesson). Standing in front of Robert and Fred is Marine Corporal Dylan Black. Driving the vehicle is Barbara Milum, joined by Edna. Gardner.

Robert is proud to have his vehicle participate in all the parades honoring military forces, both active and veteran.
