Furious 7 races into Bill Baker Amphitheatre on July 11

The Northark Summer Movie Series will present "Furious 7" on Saturday evening, July 11, at the Bill Baker Amphitheatre on the south campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison. Admission is free and everyone receives free popcorn.

North Arkansas College invites everyone to attend Furious 7 on July 11 in the Bill Baker Amphitheatre. Street machines are taken to new levels that include heart-thumping action scenes as vengeance hits home.

Admission is free and everyone receives free popcorn this year!

The Northark Summer Movie Series is presented by Cox Communications and the Harrison Convention & Visitors Bureau. Furious 7 is sponsored by Jerry Jackson Realty.

Kids will be busy with a lot of fun events prior to show-time. A car show of the most furious hot rods in our area begins at 6:30 and everyone is welcome to bring their cars to show off. Little ones compete against each other for prizes in Big Wheel races. Other activities will include car-bashing and sidewalk chalk decorating. These activities are sponsored by KHOZ 102.9 the Z and Harrison Daily Times.

Showtime is shortly after dusk and estimated to occur around 8:30 p.m.

Dr. Rodney Arnold, Executive Director of the Northark Foundation said, “The Foundation is pleased to host these movies as a summertime activity for Harrison and the surrounding counties.” Arnold said the College’s goal is to make this a free community event and allow people to become more familiar with the College.

Concessions open at 6:30 p.m. Hamburgers, hotdogs, cotton candy, pizza, nachos, popcorn, shaved ice, and other snacks are available.  Proceeds are used to support student organizations or other selected charitable causes.

A special thanks to additional Movie Sponsors North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, Sam Alexander Pharmacy, McDonald’s, and Ozark Refrigeration. Popcorn Sponsors are Main Street Merchandise Outlet, Miller’s True Value Hardware and Jones Physical Therapy.  Clay Maxey Ford is the Movie Trivia Sponsor.

Should there be inclement weather, the movie will be shown in Pioneer Pavilion.

Movies will be held on Saturday evenings in June through September.  Dates will be announced three weeks before the movie. For the most current information visit Northark’s website at www.northark.edu/summermovies or contact the Institutional Advancement Office at (870) 391-3159.
