Addi and I attended the Compton Community Day on Saturday afternoon at the Compton Community Building. We enjoyed getting to see many old friends and participating in events. We were excited to win the raffle for the wooden quilt block, which was made by Jeff and Paulette Jech. We also won some homemade jellies and a jar of Karen Fancher’s home canned pickled beets. Debbie Villines had made some beautiful bookmarks, and I won one of them. Wanda Villines Donaldson won the handmade quilt, and Mike Cullen won the 50/50 raffle. There were a lot of great raffle prizes and many winners. The Community Association exceeded their goal of $1500 that day, thanks to so many who contributed. If you would like to make suggestions or donations, please contact Darlene Cullen on the Compton Community Association’s Facebook page. If you have interest in an all-school reunion, please let her know. more
