The Buffalo National Park Service along with the Buffalo National River Partners will sponsor a trail cleanup at Mill Creek near the Pruitt canoe launch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 2.

The Mill Creek trail is the only dog friendly trail in the upper district of the Park. The trail has some downed trees and a considerable amount of invasive plants. We are recruiting trail volunteers for this work day.

Volunteers can expect to pick up trash, pull weeds, and help trim tree limbs. Volunteers are urged to bring a sack lunch, water, bug repellent, protective clothing, and work gloves. The Park service will provide tools and guidance. Plan to meet at the Mill Creek Trailhead at Pruitt Landing on the north east side of the bridge.

This cleanup will help provide a very easy and accessible trail for great hikes with your dogs.
