The date for the third annual Buffalo River Heritage Festival has been moved from spring to early autumn. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, kicking off the fall season with a story telling/ music festival on the square in Jasper.

The Buffalo River Heritage Festival celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Buffalo River region of the Ozarks by presenting stories and music of the area. In addition, local artisans will be demonstrating their skills.

The Buffalo Theater Board if presenting this event as an opportunity to experience a day of Ozarks stories, music, arts and crafts and food. The event is supported by a grant from the National Park Service, Lower Mississippi Delta Initiative.
