Last Friday, emergency services received a call about a kitten stuck in a tree at the Little Switzerland Cabins, north of Jasper. The kitten, whose name is not being released as it is a minor, had ascended without consideration given to the descent.

Shane Spencer, of Spencer Tree Care, LLC, was called to the scene. In short order, Spencer extracted the kitten without incident. He performed the rescue pro bono.
