Posted

Supreme Court Associate Justice Robin F. Wynne announces that he will seek re-election to a second term. Arkansas Supreme Court justices are elected in statewide, non-partisan races.
“I have enjoyed serving on the Supreme Court and hope the people of Arkansas will elect me to a second term,” said Justice Wynne. “I believe my nearly twenty years of experience as a judge, combined with my time in private practice in Fordyce, allows me to bring a unique perspective to my service on the Court. I feel it is important for Judges to be elected and I look forward to having the opportunity to visit with the people of Arkansas about my commitment to them and the judicial system.”
Prior to serving on the Arkansas Supreme Court, Justice Wynne served as a judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals and as district judge in Dallas County. He is in his ninth year teaching as an adjunct professor at the UALR Bowen School of Law. Justice Wynne serves as the Supreme Court liaison to the Unauthorized Practice of Law and Client Security Fund Committees. He is a member of the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission, which works to make Arkansas courts more accessible to all persons. He is also a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Wynne is a frequent speaker/presenter for continuing legal education and legal conferences.
Justice Wynne obtained his undergraduate education from Harvard College with a B.A. in History and graduated cum laude in General Studies. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville and attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Justice Wynne has been married to Margo Sanders for forty-one years. He and his wife are the parents of four sons, and their family now includes three daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren. Justice Wynne has served as a lay minister in the United Methodist Church, and he and his family attend Pulaski Heights UMC.
The election will be held on May 24, 2022.
