Trio of wins recorded by OMSD

WESTERN GROVE — The home court continued to be a good place for Ozark Mountain School District basketball.
Hosting Greenland in a game was postponed because of weather, OMSD recorded three wins at home.
In senior boys action, the Bears won, 53-48, while the Lady Bears were victorious, 56-27.
Ozark Mountain won the junior girls contest, 39-18.

Senior Boys

A six-point period didn’t do the Bears in as they defeated Greenland, 53-48.
The Bears headed into the last period with a 47-33 lead. Greenland got hot to pull the contest into the five-point affair.
Tate Dixon had seven first quarter points and Mason Gilmore added six as the Bears started with a 19-6 lead at the end of the first.
Greenland won the second frame by two points before the Bears took control of the third.
Ozark Mountain had seven points from Dixon to help the team lead into the final period with a 47-33 lead.
Leading the Bears in scoring was Dixon with 17 points. Kooper Baker added 15, Gilmore 11, Marcus Fields five, T.J. Barecky three and Cobie Chaney two.

Senior Girls

Ozark Mountain broke the game open in the second frame on the way to posting a 56-27 win.
After holding a 14-9 lead at the end of the first period, the Bears scored 18 points and added 14 points to its advantage in the second frame.
Kelly MIddleton scored seven points and Tara Yocham added six to the total as the Lady Bears moved ahead at halftime, 32-13.
The squad added eight more points to the lead in the third period as Brooklynn Mitchell had eight points which included two treys.
Leading the Lady Bears in scoring was Tennison with 18 points. Yocham added 15, Middleton nine, Brooklynn Cunningham and Jasmine Fletcher four each and Kierra Kleinert and Annalynn McCutcheon three apiece.

Junior Girls

The Junior Lady Bears took firm control of the game in the first period. They defeated Greenland, 39-18.
Ozark Mountain blanked Greenland in the first period and led, 15-0, at the first stop.
The Junior Lady Bears moved that lead to 26-9 at halftime.
Leading Ozark Mountain in scoring was Brilee Keymer with nine points. Maci Brumley and Jayden Applegate had seven each, MaHaley Gilmore six, Kelsey Tennison and Kylee Smith four each and Hannah Wheeler and Havannah Greenhaw one apiece.
