Special Valentines menu Friday, closed President's Day

The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper is offering a special Valentines Day menu Friday, Feb. 14. Delivery is available.
The menu includes meatloaf with ketchup topping or chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and cauliflower, wheat roll and strawberry cheesecake. Dine in or carry out on Friday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. the cost is $10 per person. Delivery in the Jasper city limits will be at 4:30 p.m.

The center is also having aValentines Day Bake Sale. Orders are now being taken through Feb. 13 at 9 a.m.
Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting: $6 per half-dozen and $10 for a full dozen.
Strawberry cheesecake cupcakes: $6 per half-dozen and $10 for a full dozen.
Cranberry walnut cookies: $8 per doen.
Chocolate covered strawberries: $6 per dozen.

Daily meals, Monday through Friday, are served from 11:30 a.m. to noon. A $4 donation is appreciated. No age limit and carry-outs cost $8.60. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.

Feb. 13-19
Thursday: Country fried steak, peppered gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, wheat roll and fruit medley.
Friday: Marinated chicken sandwich, baked potato chips, green beans and frosted cake.
Monday: Closed for President's Day
Tuesday: Soft beef tacos, refried beans, mixed green salad and fruited gelatin.
Wednesday: Lasagna, side salad, breadstick and sherbet.
