Senior center announces craft fair and holiday schedule

The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center has announced it will hold the Jasper Crafter Fair, Saturday, Dec. 14. It will also serve its Christmas lunch at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, prior to closing for the Christmas and New Year holidays Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1.
Vendors will be set up at the center on Dec. 14 for those last minute Christmas gifts. If you don't know what to get someone for Christmas, the center has gym memberships available.
Daily meals, Monday through Friday are served from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk. A $4 donation is appreciated. No age limit and carry out meals cost $8.

Dec. 11-18
Wednesday - Tuna noodle casserole, broccoli florets, wheat roll and cookie.

Thursday - Shepherd's pie, green peas, dinner roll and fresh fruit.
Friday - Lemon pepper chicken, dill roasted potatoes, buttered corn, wheat roll and fruited gelatin.
Monday - Breaded shrimp, homestyle fries, creamy coleslaw and fruited gelatin.
Tuesday - Meatloaf, mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, green peas, wheat roll and ice cream.
Wednesday - Fish fillet, corn casserole, creamy coleslaw, wheat bread and citrus fruit cup.
