Scholarships awarded; Day of Giving to single parent scholarship fund

The Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Spring 2025 Award Program and ceremonies were held at North Arkansas College in Harrison, Tuesday, March 11.
Several students received their scholarship. Many brought their children and guests.
This year's Newton County recipients are Zina Sanchez, Cassandra Taylor and Erica Beckham.
Guest speaker was Bailey Hutcheson, a former Baxter County recipient who is now director of Career Pathways at Arkansas State University, Mountain Home.

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund has given 517 scholarships in Newton County from 1994-2025 totaling over $215,000.
