North Arkansas College took control of the game in the second half and defeated Fort Scott Community College of Kan., 85-69.
The Pioneers outscored Fort Scott, 45-33, in the second half.
Northark found itself on the short end of the scoreboard with 9 minutes to go in the first half.
Fort Scott hit back-to-back treys to take a 23-21 lead.
Curtis Fowler hit a free throw for the Pioneers then Trey Pulford drained a trey to put Northark ahead for good at 25-23.
Fowler extended that lead to four points with a basket.
Fort Scott continued to score, but Northark continued to make it a two-possession contest.
Mat Jones pulled down an offensive rebound and scored, After Fort Scott hit a free throw, Jordyn Turner also secured a rebound on the offensive end and scored.
