Personnel changes approved at Jasper

Resignations topped personnel changes approved by the Jasper School District Board of Education at its regular meeting held Thursday night, May 22.
Certified staff resignations were received from Billy "Kipp" Upton, Oark coach/teacher; Shelby Waters, Kingston teacher and Pat Summers, district administrator.
Classified resignation was received from Lora Criss, Oark custodian.
New hires for the 2025-2026 school year include, certified, Ty James, school district physical therapist; Kevin Meythaler, Oark teacher/coach; Rachel Poor, Oark teacher; Stephen Poor, Oark teacher; Madison Whittle, Kingston teacher and classified, Gavin Chalmers, Oark bus driver.

The rehire list was also approved.
Summer workers hired are: Oark, Noah McGarrah, student worker; Mary Willis, Katie Yates and Tammy Payne, summer labor; Kingston, Nicole Bellinger, summer labor; Jasper, Sheila Murphy, Jasper summer worker.Transfers for the 2025-2026 school year: Certified, Hannah Willis, from Kingston Teachers to Kingston library media specialist and Leah Villines, from district career coach to Kingston teacher.
Addendums for the 2025-2026 school year: Classified, LaToya Dillow, cook, from step 3 to step 2 and Amy Dodson, custodian, from step 2 to step 1. Certified, Holly Watts, teacher, from step 15 to step 16.
