“We preserve the folkways and traditions of the Ozarks here,” said Jeanette Larson, Craft Director at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. “Growing, preserving, and eating good food are all part of our lifestyle. We love to share our knowledge and joy of working with this land with our visitors.”
The event’s focus carries over into our restaurant in the park. At the Skillet Restaurant, they offer locally grown produce in season, and they use herbs grown in the Kitchen Garden right in front of the restaurant. The Skillet is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Food, music, gardens, talks, tours and so much more make up the Ozark Folk Center State Park.
