'Meth' education conference coming to Harrison

"Me Over Meth," a Region 2 methamphetamine prevention conference is coming to the John Paul Hammerschmidt Conference Center on the south campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison.
The conference, which provides 5 hours of continuing education credit, will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Keynote and special presenters include:
• Dr. Phillip McClur, "The Evolution of Methamphetamines"

• Dr. Jim Shuler, "Stimulant Discussion"
• A physical and mental health provider panel will discuss local methamphetamine issues.
The Region 2 Prevention Task Force wants to eradicate methamphetamine use in Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton and Searcy counties. Kyle Evatt invites all interested in joining this mission to learn more about the new meth, poly substance use and how prevention awareness and education helps.
