A Memorial Day ceremony was conducted by Scouting America leaders and scouts from Jasper Troop 446 and veterans from American Legion Post 93, Jasper, at Sandhill Cemetery at Yardelle. The American Legion Post began the tradition of paying respect and tribute to deceased veterans by conducting a special memorial program and flag raising ceremony at the cemetery and were joined by the Scouts this year.
