Jasper SBHC completes sports physicals

Posted

The Jasper school District's School Based Health Center concluded its annual sports physicals on each campus, according to Cristan Martin and SBHU coordinator. Martin made the report at the May 14 Jasper School District Wellness Meeting.
Under school policies in the athletic handbook, a physical examination must be completed and the required form must be on file in athletic office by the first day of practice as established by the coach.
Martin said approximately 180 physicals have been completed district-wide.

Martin said UAMS and BMRHC have partnered to work toward providing telehealth services to both Oark and Kingston. This would be for medical visits with Chrissie Bell and behavioral and mental health services. UAMS will be picking up carts from the campuses and plan to provide a laptop to provide telehealth services.
Each campus will need a designated space for this service. Little space is required.
