The Jasper City Council will meet Thursday, Jan. 9, at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
Council meetings are normally held on the third Thursday of each month, but council members are planning to attend the Arkansas Municipal League's Winter Conference in Little Rock which conflicts with the regular meeting time.
The agenda Thursday night includes approval of several resolutions establishing rules for conducting business for the new year. These resolutions call for following a code of conduct, rules of order and procedure. There is also a resolution that cleans up the 2024 budget.
The council will review the monthly financial report and review the monthly police and fire departments' reports.
The meeting is at 5 p.m. due to expected inclement weather.
