RUSSELLVILLE — Arkansas Tech head women's tennis coach Shaun Wiseman has announced the signing of standout prep tennis star, Zayla Ware, for the upcoming 2025-26 season. A native of Little Rock, Ware prepped at Joe T. Robinson High School where she was lauded as one of the top girl's tennis players in the state, regardless of classification.
"I am thrilled to have gotten Zayla to come to Arkansas Tech," said Wiseman. "I have known her since she was just starting out in 8U red ball at Burns Park in North Little Rock and knew then she had the athleticism and fighting spirit to play at this level. It is very much a full circle moment to have her as a Golden Sun, and I think she is going to represent Arkansas Junior Tennis well at the collegiate level."
This past fall, Ware captured her fourth-straight Arkansas 4A-5 conference singles title while also winning her third-straight Arkansas 4A singles state championship. Additionally, Ware helped lead Robinson to the team state title as well.

Named Arkansas 4A All-State as a singles competitor for the fourth-consecutive year, Ware also has gone on to be a three-time semifinalist in overalls for the state of Arkansas in singles play.
Outside of her accomplishments in prep tennis, Ware has excelled in the junior tennis ranks within Arkansas, the region and the U.S.
In her junior tennis career, Ware has been ranked No. 1 in Arkansas twice by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), as high as No. 29 in the Southern Region and as high as No. 288 in the US. Ware has also been asked to represent Arkansas at the coveted Southern Ozaki Junior Cup.
