Two fundraisers are being planned this fall at Compton.
An open-air market for a wide variety of items is being planned for Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Compton Community Building (the former Compton School building). Booth space reservations will be by donation with all proceeds going towards continued maintenance and operation of the building. To reserve a space call 420-3549.
The annual metal drive will be held the first week of October. Only ferrous metals containing iron will be accepted (ferrous metals have magnetic properties). The material can be dropped off at a dumpster that will be located on the community center property. Proceeds from the metal drive will be shared by the center and the Compton Volunteer Fire Department.
