Falling water levels on the Buffalo National River last week revealed the damage last November's flash floods caused at the Ponca Low Water Bridge. Maggie Reyes, acting interpretive supervisor at Tyler Bend Visitor Center for both the upper and middle district's of the river, reported that as of last Dec. 8, Steel Creek Ranger Station remains offline as repairs are underway inside of the building. Trail systems, parking lots, and campgrounds along the river received widespread damage. Park maintenance is working to address repairs. Reyes said she does not have a timeframe for how long repairs will take.
