PONCA — The American Hiking Society, Arkansas State Parks and the National Park Service all agree. First Day Hikes have become an annual tradition. Intended to be held on the New Year holiday, "these hikes provide a means for individuals and families to welcome the coming year in the outdoors, exercising and connecting with nature."
