Bean bag baseball travels to Searcy County July 17

The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper will send its bean bag baseball team to Marshall Wednesday, July 17, to take on the Searcy County Senior Center team. The monthly fish fry will be on Friday, July 12, along with a yard sale.
The fish fry is drive through or dine in from 2-5 p.m. The meal costs $11 and includes: Hand breaded fried fish or chicken strips, coleslaw, pinto beans, hushpuppies, pickled green tomatoes and peach crisp.
Also sign up by July 15 for a painting class set for Friday, July 19.
Meals at the center are offered to seniors for a $4 donation, Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk. No age limit customers and carry out meals cost $6.

Thursday - Cornbread pork cutlet, mashed potatoes, broccoli florets, wheat roll and fruit medley.
Friday - Salisbury steak, mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, wheat roll and snickerdoodle cookie.
Monday - Seasoned baked chicken, rice pilaf, broccoli and cauliflower, wheat roll and banana pudding.
Tuesday - Barbecued pork on wheat bun, chuckwagon corn, spinach salad, and fresh melon cup.
Wednesday - Honey mustard chicken, mashed potatoes, spinach, wheat bread and sherbet.
