Arkansas State Police (ASP) arrested Robert Daniel Payne Jr., 51, of Sherwood on Monday, March 11, charging him with eight counts of distributing, possessing, and/or viewing of materials depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Payne had been evading arrest for more than 2 years.
ASP Agents arrested the suspect at a restaurant on Warden Road in North Little Rock without incident. Agents executed a search warrant at Payne’s Sherwood residence in August 2019, seizing electronic devices and other evidence. Arrest warrants were issued in September of 2021.
