Arkansans for Limited Government Organizes Super Signing Weekend for The Arkansas Abortion Amendment

Posted

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansans for Limited Government (AFLG) announces its first Super Signing Weekend, a dedicated signature-collecting effort for the Arkansas Abortion Amendment.
Between April 5-7, Arkansans can sign the petition to restore abortion access via a coordinated, state-wide canvassing event, which aims to engage communities across the Natural State around the issue of abortion as healthcare.
If passed, the Arkansas Abortion Amendment will allow for unrestricted abortion access up to 18 weeks post-fertilization. After 18 weeks, the amendment allows for abortion in certain circumstances, like a fatal fetal anomaly diagnosis, in cases of rape or incest, or to protect a woman's life or health.
“Politicians think they know better than women and families; they want to make private healthcare decisions for us, and that’s not fair or right," said Chad Taylor, a board-certified OB/GYN and spokesperson for the Healthcare Alliance for Reproductive Care (HARC), a group of medical providers that is part of Arkansans for Limited Government.
