Sam Norman Harp, 88, of Aldrich, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 21 (2015), at his home. Funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Pitts Chapel, Boliver, Mo., with Chaplain Randy Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Morrisville, Mo.  Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Jasper. His parents were the late Othar and Rinda (James) Harp. He was united in marriage to Louise Violet Curtis March 6, 1951, in Harrison, and to this union two sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Delbert Harp, Joe Harp, Sue Calbert, Jim Harp and John Gash.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Louise Harp of Aldrich, Mo.; two sons: Norman Harp and wife Mary of Overland Park, Kan, and Ron Harp and wife Colleen of Springfield, Mo.; four grandsons: Ron Harp of Aldrich, Mo., David Harp and wife Jamie of Springfield, Mo., Ray Harp and wife Chloe of Manhattan, Kan., and Thomas Harp and wife Rebecca of Grand Junction, Colo.; five great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Harp of Battlefield, Mo., Koen Harp and Laken Harp of Springfield, Mo., and Jasper Harp and Juniper Harp of Manhattan, Kan.; two sisters: Nola Lete of Chesterfield, Mo., and Georgia Bridges of Fair Grove, Mo., as well as many other  relatives and friends.

 Memorials may be made to Eudora 4H Club, or to the American Cancer Society.
