Mary Sue (Cecil) Moore, 95, of Harrison, died Friday, April 15 (2016). Funeral was Monday, April 18, at the First Christian Church. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel of Harrison.

She was born June 11, 1920 in Harrison, the daughter of the late Sam B. and Daisy Florence (Brasel) Cecil.

She was a graduate of Harrison High School, attended Hendrix College, and worked for Arkansas Power and Light before her marriage to Dr. James Lex Moore in 1940. She and her sisters started the Daisy Flower and Gift Shop and named it for their mother. A lifelong member of First Christian Church, she was also bookkeeper for Cecil Motor Co. for 30 years and had served as President of the Woman’s Book Club and the Arkansas Dental Auxiliary.

Mary Sue is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia and Bud Foley, of Harrison. Also surviving are four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Sammie Fuller; a brother, James B. Cecil ; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lula Marie Vowell; a niece, Gloria Ford and Dr. James Lex Moore.

Pallbearers were Ken Reeves, Bud Fuller, Jimmy Cecil, Sam Cecil, Randy Judy and Rusty Hayes.
